Been invited to participate in the 1st Chapingo Biennial - Texcoco University, Mexico City, which took place between the 7th and the 19th Nov 2008.

It was a great honour to attend in person with the painting "Querida Frida, Herida". Been for years a devoted admirer of her art and character, so to be able to show this triptych at the place where her husband Diego Rivera painted murals couldn't seem to me more appropriate.

The theme of the Biennial was "Art With Its Root in the Earth". Who better than Frida understood what this is? She loved her "Earth" Country and nature, so was at ease with the "inspirator" and the theme...

When was painting Frida, Coldplay edited a cd named "Viva la Vida". If you know a bit about Frida, this is the title of one of the paintings she did. This even inspired me more, you can hear the main song clicking "Viva la Vida"
